“You can give it to us vertically or horizontally! We're gonna get it. We want exactly what you wanted, a government - a nation we can call our own. We’re tired of being your underling. In the U.N. a couple of years ago some ambassadors from some foreign government approached my wife and Attorney Ted Eagans and said to them It's about time you Black people in America stand up and do something for yourself. Don't you know that America isn't doing anything for you? Do you want to know what people think about you over there in America? We think you are nothing but Uncle Tom’s. Every Black man we have seen over here from America is praising America. You are the first to come you are the first to come over here, praising black people and condemning America, It's about time.
Many of our young people right now, don't even know we've had problems in America. They don't know there was a day when we had to walk on one side of the street while the white man walked on another side of the street. Many of our youngsters don't know that we were made to sit in the balcony in the movies while the white man sat downstairs. Our youngsters don't know that, so they won't have the same feeling or the same fervor that we have. You father, you mother, you uncle, you auntie, we collectively must act now! This is not a drill, and I'm not here to try to look good. This is a serious issue. Here, Queen Mother Moore who has lived ninety years, fighting for reparation... where were you? Here is Supreme Minister, 81 years fighting for reparations and your freedom, where were you? Where was your strength? Where was your courage? What were you doing? Smoking, drinking, partying while she fought for your freedom? While he fought for your freedom? When will You fight for Your freedom? You must fight now! You don't have a choice. We've set the time bomb and it's in motion. You will fight with Black people or you will fight with the white man. That's the only way you can go. You can't decide to remain neutral, you’ll get crushed in the middle.”
American news media reported on everything else. There was a blackout about this coverage. All of a sudden Human Rights Council needed to be torn down and revamped. We are on the right path.
